All That God Commanded Him

Recently my Pastor pointed out a very unusual thing that Noah did. He did according to all that God commanded him. Some others did that also, which proves that we can too.

Genesis 6:22: Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Exodus 40:16: Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.

2 Timothy 4:7: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Noah, Moses and Paul did all that God commanded them and there are others who did. To us, doing all that God commands seems like a pipe dream, but with God nothing shall be impossible.

Luke 1:37: For with God nothing shall be impossible.

1 Corinthians 3:9: For we are labourers together with God: ye are God*s husbandry, ye are God*s building.

The key words are with God. It is true that we cannot do God*s will without Him. But is also true that with Him we can succeed.

John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Often God is able to get His will done, not because of us but in spite of us.

2 Corinthians 12:9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

And sometimes He is able to get his will done because He makes us new creatures with the ability to fulfill His ordained will, strengthens us and gives us power.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Isaiah 41:10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Acts 1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Philippians 2:12: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

2 Corinthians 3:5: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ephesians 5:8: For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

2 Peter 1:5: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
